A great day was had by all that took part in the Ivor Glenn Memorial Darts Competition held in Castlerock on Easter Monday. Ballymoney League player and NI International Daniel McDonald won the competition.
We had two great semi finals with Daniel McDonald beating Area 2’s Davy Glenn and Area 8’s Jason Lockhart beating Area 2’s Mark Currans.
It was county system standard all the way through, some with fantastic shooting.
Onto the final pitting Daniel McDonald against up and coming Jason Lockhart. Daniel has been on the darts scene for quite a while and is well known as a really great player and Jason new to the darts scene this last couple of years and has been to the last stages of this years NIDO Gold Cup and Individuals. A great showcase for the local Ballymoney League who have really got some of the best throwers in Northern Ireland playing for them – it’s getting stronger and better quality every year.
The final was won 6-0 by Daniel McDonald! Who from start to finish he had his eye on the prize. Well done Daniel.
The Glenn Family would like to thank all the players and sponsors who have supported the tournament this year and we hope to see you all next year.
